Brookfield Road Superintendent Jaime Fredenburg grades the edge of the parking lot in Brookfield Township Community Park, where road crew members cleaned out ditches. The crew also was adding stone to the parking lot and leveling it out. Fredenburg said he’s waiting for parts to come in to repair some playground equipment at Jenny Junction, the park’s playground, and then will add mulch to the playground. Later, workers will pour a new concrete entrance walkway to the playground.

Trustees will meet at the park at 1 p.m. July 12 to go over future projects, and at 10 a.m. at the township building to meet with the Brookfield Township Historical Commission to talk about plans to replace the changeable copy sign with an electronic one on the township green in Brookfield Center.
