Ohio Highway Patrol on Wednesday, Sept. 12, filed charges of driving under the influence of drugs and a lane violation against William R. Ceroli Jr. stemming from a Sept. 4 two-vehicle crash in which a woman was injured on Warren Sharon Road near Boyd Street in Masury.
Ceroli, 46, of 540 Cleveland St., Masury, was westbound when his car crossed into the other lane and hit an eastbound minivan driven by Fay C. Durst, 54, of 2056 Sharon Hogue Road, Masury, police said.
Brookfield firefighters took Durst to a local hospital for what police called non-incapacitating injuries.
Ceroli was trapped in his car and removed by firefighters, but was not injured, police said.
Durst had two passengers, girls ages 7 and 8, who were not injured, police said.
Ceroli was arrested at the scene but was later released.
Brookfield police assisted.
Ceroli is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges Sept. 13 in Trumbull County Eastern District Court.
