Brookfield Elementary School held a series of Christmas-related events Dec. 18.

Activities included a concert by second- and third-grade students, treats and a visit to each room from Santa Claus.

Principal Stacey Filicky read Chris Van Allsburg’s “The Polar Express” to her students, and school secretary Barbara Simon read a lengthy letter from Santa Claus in which he addressed many of the letters students had sent to him.

Santa noted that many students asked for LOL Dolls. Students also asked for books, race cars, action figures, video games, socks and money.

It also was Pajama Day and many students came to school in their nightwear.

Brookfield Parents Association will throw a Christmas party Dec. 19.
