A boil water advisory remains in effect in parts of Brookfield, and Brookfield Middle School Principal Craig Boles informed parents that the school is ready to provide drinking water to students and staff for another day.
The advisory was issued after two line breaks, in the Valley View neighborhood and on Bedford Road, on Sept. 23, said an employee of the Trumbull County Sanitary Engineer’s Office who refused to fully identify himself.
The employee said he did not know if repairs were complete or when the advisory might be lifted, and referred questions to a supervisor who had already gone home for the day.
The advisory means water used in drinking and cooking should be heated to a rolling boil for three to five minutes before ingesting.
The advisory is in effect for this area: “East of Route 7 on Warren Sharon Road down to Yankee Run Road. Bedford Road, Warren Sharon Road, Yankee Run Road, Lincoln Avenue and Valley View allotment.”promo
