Parents hoping to find daycare for their young children while schools in Ohio are on hiatus have few options in Brookfield.
Peggy Kekich said she’s at her limit at Top of the Hill Daycare in Masury, and Elizabeth Hayes of Lizzie’s Angels in Brookfield said she’s not accepting more kids, although she had been seeking new admissions.
“We’re putting a freeze on that right now for safety reasons until this all blows over,” Hayes said.
Hayes said she would like to help parents caught in a pinch, but “We have to think safe.”
Kekich said she wouldn’t want to take more kids, even if she had room, out of fear of spreading the virus.
Neither Kekich nor Hayes had suggestions where parents might turn.
“I don’t know of anyone, right now,” accepting kids, Kekich said.
