Brookfield Township will hold a scrap tire collection from 8 a.m. to noon May 1 behind the fire station at 774 Route 7.
Only Brookfield residents are allowed to bring tires, and those bringing tires will have to show identification.
The drive is not for businesses.
While there is no limit on the number of tires that can be brought, officials said federal law prohibits anyone from transporting more than 10 tires without being licensed as a scrap tire hauler.
All tires must be off their rims and no rims will be accepted.
The disposal of the tires is being paid for by a grant from Geauga-Trumbull Solid Waste Management District.
