Brookfield Elementary School typically holds a program for students and parents during Read-A-Thon,
but it usually is limited to two grade levels, said Principal Stacey Filicky.

“Because of all the missing out in the last year or so, we decided to open it up to everybody this year,” she said.

Everybody came. There were 450 people signed up to attend and it appeared that not many did not show up.

“Tons of people are here and everybody’s having a ball,” she said.

Held Oct. 26, Fall Fest had activities such as pumpkin painting, face painting, mini golf putting, ring toss,
story time, a book giveaway, pin the nose on the pumpkin and a photo spot against the backdrop of a fall
scene.
