An extradition hearing is pending in Mercer County against a Farrell woman accused of stabbing a man Sept. 24 in Masury.

Brookfield police have charged Tenicia Shelley, 31, with attempted murder and felonious assault. She was arrested in Farrell and is being held in the Mercer County Jail, said Brookfield Police Chief Dan Faustino.

Shelley is accused of stabbing Christopher L. Blue, 35, of Farrell, in an apartment in the 8100 block of Addison Road. Faustino said that, as of Sept. 28, Blue was still in a hospital in stable condition. Blue was stabbed in the chest near the heart, Faustino said.

Shelley and Blue are believed to be romantically involved. They were in the apartment of a 30-year-old woman on Sept. 24 and had an argument, and Blue pushed Shelley out of the apartment, Faustino said. Shelley returned later.

“The other female let her (Shelley) in the house and she (Shelley) ran past her, reportedly with the knife in her hand, and upstairs,” Faustino said. “That’s where the altercation started with the male. Sometime during that altercation, he was stabbed in the chest.”

Shelley tried to stab the other woman, but left when the woman said she had called police.

As of Sept. 29, an extradition hearing had not been set.
