A Brookfield man has been sentenced to state prison to serve a 1-year term for two separate cases.

Jeffrey E. Perritt, 61, of 893 Valley View Drive, pleaded guilty Sept. 1 to two counts of felony domestic violence. Trumbull County Common Pleas Court Judge Ronald J. Rice sentenced Perritt to 1 year in state prison.

Perritt pleaded guilty Sept. 14 to felony burglary and misdemeanor petty theft before Judge W. Wyatt McKay, who ordered that he serve the sentence in this case at the same time as the previous one.

The burglary case was filed first. Perritt was hired to cut the grass at a home on Ulp Street in Masury. The resident reported May 13 that his television had been taken from the unlocked home, and that Perritt would have had access to the home when no one else was there, Brookfield police said.

On June 14, Perritt, who was on bond from the previous incident, flipped over a couch in his home. A 51-year-old woman and a 14-year-old girl were sitting on it at the time, police said.
