Brookfield trustees on Oct. 24 awarded a contract to Stryker Sales LLC for four cardiac monitor-defibrillator units and four CPR assist devices, based on a bid of $241,355, the only bid received.

Brookfield Fire Department received a Federal Emergency Management Agency grant that covers all but 5 percent of the cost, said Fire Chief David Masirovits.

The company said delivery could be expected in about 40 weeks, and the fire department can trade in its old monitors, he said.
