Brookfield police patrolman Jay First pleaded guilty to charges of discharging a firearm within the city limits of Girard and disorderly conduct Wednesday, completing the criminal side of an Oct. 27 incident in Girard.
Girard Municipal Court Judge Jeffrey D. Adler fined First $300 and ordered him to apologize to responding police and forfeit the gun.
First, 43, of 979 Sharon Hogue Road, Masury, did not make any statements during the hearing and declined to speak out of court.
First soon will learn his fate as a township employee. Police Chief Dan Faustino said he would meet with First following the plea to discuss any disciplinary measures.
