Students, family members and siblings took part in Thursday’s event. They played Book Bingo, with winners choosing from the books. Elementary secretary Barbara Simon read stories aloud, and the Brookfield Parents Association provided pizza and drinks.
The night also highlighted the school’s Read-a-Thon, which raises money for school activities, field trips, books and equipment purchases by sponsoring students to read in school and at home. The school set a goal of $9,000 for the purchase of 25 Google Chromebook computers.
