Brookfield Trustees have set Aug. 2 interviews with four candidates for fire chief, said Trustee Dan Suttles.
The interviewees will be David Masirovits of Ladson, S.C.; Dennis Johnson of Hubbard; Matt Gordon of Canfield; and David Shook of Painesville.
Gordon is a captain in the Brookfield Fire Department.
The four men were chosen from six who underwent assessment center testing on June 30.
The trustees have not decided whether they will hire a new chief on Aug. 6, their next scheduled meeting following the interviews, or set a special meeting, said Suttles, noting the trustees could choose to hold second interviews.
Capt. Dave Coffy has been interim chief since Chief Keith Barrett retired in December.
