Those extra voters Brookfield zoning proponents hoped would come out for the midterm election turned out not to be for their benefit. Zoning was defeated again.
In unofficial results, the measure fell 1995-1533 – a terrific from a year ago, when it came up short by only 19 votes.
The permanent improvement levy placed on the ballot by Brookfield Board of Education also fell, 2106-1457.
The numbers do not include absentee or provisional ballots, which will be reviewed at the Trumbull County Board of Elections meeting on Nov. 16, according to the board’s web site
The election is set to be certified, making it official, Nov. 26.
