Resident complaints about speeding vehicles on Stewart Sharon Road have reached Trumbull County Commissioners.
The commissioners on July 10 passed a resolution to ask the Ohio Department of Transportation to review data and declare a “reasonable and safe” speed limit on the section between Bedford Road and Route 7, according to the meeting minutes.
The Trumbull County Engineer’s Office conducted a speed study and concluded that the posted speed limit of 40 mph is “unrealistic.”
Brookfield trustees have discussed the speed on the road with representatives of the engineer’s office.
Stewart Sharon Road is owned by the county.
