Members of SixFourteen Church, which has hosted a number of public outreach events at its church in Masury, will be out in the community Oct. 12 as part of “Love WKND.”
“We’re gonna send teams out in the community and do random acts of service,” said Pastor Jared Woodward.
Starting at 9 a.m., you’ll see parishioners in local laundromats serving coffee and doughnuts – and paying for your laundry washing. You’ll see them at grocery stores pushing carts.
promoAnd, they’ll invite you to come to the church, 1382 Broadway Ave., between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. for a free community lunch.
“There are no strings attached,” Woodward said, assuring community members that the church has no agenda behind “Love WKND.” “We just want to be a blessing to our community. One of the things that our church is so sold on is that we care. We want to let the community know that we love them and we care about them.”
Parishioners will rev up for the event with a service at 7 p.m. Oct. 11 at the church.
