The Brookfield township social hall, shown in the photo here, was packed for last year’s Safety Awareness Night, a joint effort by the township police and fire departments to raise awareness of safety issues and offer an opportunity for county agencies and local service clubs to interact with township residents and promote their services. The 21st Safety Awareness Night will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 30 in the social hall and the adjoining fire department, 774 Route 7. The free event will include food and drinks; a K9 demonstration; pumpkin carving thanks to the Brookfield Optimist Club; giveaways; and children’s activities. To be a part of Safety Awareness Night, call township Office Coordinator Tabatha Dickson at 330-448-4500.
