James E. Hill, the New Castle man accused of sticking up the Masury Circle K on Oct. 28, pleaded guilty March 18 to a charge of robbery.
Trumbull County Common Pleas Court Judge W. Wyatt McKay sentenced Hill to 2 to 3 years in state prison.
Hill, 45, robbed the store at 902 S. Irvine Ave. of $300 after acting like he had a gun in his hoodie pocket, Brookfield police said, although no weapon was seen.
Three days prior to the Circle K robbery, Hill pleaded guilty to a charge of theft stemming from an April 7, 2019, robbery of a dollar store in New Castle. His sentencing was delayed by the Ohio case, and he has since filed a motion to withdraw his guilty plea.
