Signwork of Masury today installed a new electronic changeable copy sign in Brookfield Center. This sign, at the intersection of Route 7 and Warren Sharon Road, replaces one wiped out by a pickup on Dec. 14.
Insurance proceeds covered the installation of the new sign.
The township used the previous sign to publicize township meetings and community events, and the first message on the new sign could appear as early as today, said Trustee Dan Suttles.
The driver of the pickup that wiped out the old sign said his steering wheel locked up while northbound on Route 7. The driver was treated at a hospital and cited for a traffic violation.
