For the first time in five years, a Brookfield Township code enforcement officer has filed a charge in Trumbull County Eastern District Court alleging a violation of the property maintenance code.
Officer Peter Ross filed a charge Oct. 16 against Donald A. Hacker of 7583 Stewart Sharon Road, alleging Hacker has inoperable and unlicensed vehicles, tires and other debris on the property.
The charge is a minor misdemeanor punishable by up to a $150 fine.
Hacker pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Nov. 10. A pretrial hearing has been set for Jan. 21.
The last property maintenance violation charge was filed June 26, 2015, by former Officer Jimmy Ewing, according to a search of the court’s website. The defendant pleaded guilty.
