Kirila Contractors Inc. of Brookfield has been awarded a contract by Trumbull County commissioners to pave and upgrade water and sewer lines in Howland Township.
The award, made March 3, was based on Kirila’s bid of $447,119, which was under the engineer’s estimate of $550,407, officials said. Eight other bids ranged from $455,406 to $559,355.
Kirila will widen and resurface Phoenix Road, upgrade the storm sewer system and replace a water line.
The project is funded by the Appalachian Regional Commission, the Ohio Department of Transportation and the City of Warren, based on a design by the Trumbull County Engineer’s Office.
