The Ohio News Media Foundation, in alignment with its mission of achieving the highest standards of
excellence and professionalism in all phases of journalism and newspaper publishing, is accepting applications for four scholarships for aspiring journalists.

Two will be awarded to graduating Ohio high school seniors, and two for students already in college.

The deadline for applications is May 24.

The scholarships available to graduating seniors are the Minority Journalism Scholarship for African Americans, Hispanics, Asian Americans or American Indians; and the Ohio High School Journalism Scholarship. Both scholarships provide $750 to the recipients, who must have a minimum grade-point average of 2.5, and be interested in studying journalism, advertising, marketing or communications at an accredited U.S. college or university.

Students already studying journalism, advertising, marketing or communications in an Ohio college or university can apply for the Harold K. Douthit Scholarship or the Ohio New Media Foundation University Journalism Scholarship. These $750 scholarships require a minimum 2.5 grade-point average.
