Mercer County Community Federal Credit Union said it has received permission to allow membership
from people who live, work, attend school or worship in Trumbull County and several other counties.
The credit union said the community charter expansion approval of the National Credit Union
Administration allows it to serve Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties in Ohio, and Mercer,
Lawrence, Crawford and Venango counties in Pennsylvania.
The credit union is a member-owned, not-for-profit organization. You become a member by opening a
share (savings) account in the amount of $5, and at least maintaining that balance. The credit union also
offers draft (checking) services, loans and other financial services associated with a financial institution.
The credit union has branches at 428 Sharpsville Ave., Sharon, and 559 N. Hermitage Road, Hermitage.
