Trumbull County LOSS, which serves survivors of suicide loss, is presenting a series of training programs concerning suicide loss, mental health and related issues.
The programs are:
- “Companioning the Bereaved: An Examination of Dr. Alan Wolfelt’s 11 Tenets of Companioning,” 6 p.m. April 4, 11, 18 and 25 at the Hubbard Public Library, 435 W. Liberty St., Hubbard.
- Support group facilitator training featuring Wolfelt’s “Understanding Your Suicide Loss,” 10 a.m. May 21 at the Hubbard library.
- National Alliance on Mental Illness program for parents who care for people who have mental illness and are aged 22 and younger, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 23 and 30 at the Hubbard library.
- QPR Institute training on recognizing the signs of suicide, causes of suicidal behavior, questioning someone who may be suicidal and related topics, 6 p.m. April 14 at First Baptist Church, 59 Orchard Ave., Hubbard; and 2 p.m. May 21 at the Hubbard library.
