Dustin Kaczmark, in black-patterned shirt, appears in court with his attorney.

Dustin Kaczmark apologized for sex crimes involving a 14-year-old girl and said he was taking full responsibility for his actions, but the girl’s mother called the damage he had done to the girl “irreparable.”

“I can’t do anything to change what happened,” he said.

Kaczmark, 24, of Sharon, was sentenced July 20 to 6 months in Trumbull County Jail on charges of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, and pandering obscenity.

He still faces sentencing Oct. 14 in Mercer County, where he pleaded no contest to a charge of aggravated indecent assault concerning the same victim in Sharon.

Kaczmark was charged in both states last summer for conduct that had occurred in the spring and/or summer.

At Kaczmark’s Trumbull County sentencing, the girl’s mother said the girl no longer trusts friends and family members, noting that Kaczmark had been close to the family.

“I believe that he would do this again,” she said.

Trumbull County Common Pleas Court Judge W. Wyatt McKay also sentenced Kaczmark to serve 5 years’ probation after he gets out of jail.

Kaczmark, who has been free on bond, asked that he be allowed to report to jail later. He recently broke his hand, his attorney said, and the delay would allow him to seek follow-up treatment. McKay said Kaczmark has to report to the jail at 9 a.m. Sept. 21.

Kaczmark has been deemed a Tier 1 sexual offender, meaning he has to report his whereabouts annually or anytime he moves for 15 years.
