Trumbull County commissioners on Aug. 24 acknowledged receipt of a petition to vacate a portion of Jessie Road in the Stevenson Heights neighborhood of Brookfield.
A group of neighborhood property owners want to vacate part of the street to restrict public access to private property, but township officials oppose the vacation.
The county commissioners will visit the site at 11 a.m. Sept. 29, and will hold a public hearing at 10 a.m. Oct. 5 in their hearing room at 160 High St. NW, Warren.
