Trumbull County Board of Developmental Disabilities, which operates the Fairhaven workshop and offers a range of services for special needs children and adults, is asking voters to renew a 1.5-mill, 10-year levy on Nov. 8.

The levy has a current effective millage of 1.11 mills and raises about $4.2 million annually, which is about 17 percent of the agency’s budget.

This levy was first approved in 1998.

The board provides early intervention services for infants and preschoolers, schooling up to age 22, job training, residential placement, transportation, various kinds of therapy, nursing and case management for more than 1,200 children and adults.
