The White Rose Spaghetti House in Masury is closed for an indefinite period of time while manager and head cook Michael Chaney recovers from injuries suffered in a serious traffic crash that occurred Feb. 15 in Vienna.

Chaney, 61, of 615 Brookfield Ave., Masury, was taken to a hospital for head, leg and other injuries, Ohio Highway Patrol said. Chaney has been released from the hospital.

Chaney was eastbound on Route 82 when a bus driven by Kiemon V. Gonzalez, 29, of Warren, which was crossing the highway on Scoville North Road, traveled into the path of Chaney’s car, police said. After Chaney’s car struck the bus, the bus hit a station wagon driven by Kenneth W. Johnston, 66, of Lowellville, which was stopped at a stop sign.

Gonzalez told police he did not see any other vehicles when he entered the crossover. He has been charged with failure to yield.

Gonzalez and five passengers of his Gateways to Better Living bus were taken to hospitals, police said.

Johnston was not injured.
