Brookfield Township officials have opened the administration building to residents who have lost power and want to charge their phones, said Trustee Dan Suttles.
The Brookfield police and fire departments will be checking on residents of Yankee Run Road, where Saturday’s storm knocked down utility poles, and those residents cannot leave their homes, he said.
Ohio Edison has been working to restore power, but there are still more than 1,000 customers without electrical service, he said.
The administration building is at 6844 Strimbu Drive.
