Friends of the Brookfield Branch Library is holding its annual lottery fundraiser.
The group is selling tickets for $5 each that have a number on them. Winners will be selected if their number matches the one drawn as the straight number by the Ohio daily lottery April 30 through May 27.
Weekday winners get $25 and Saturday winners get $100. Anyone who matches the May 27 number will receive $500.
There were 10 winning tickets in 2022.
The group supports programs at the library. In 2022, it provided a gift basket for the adult summer reading program; pumpkins and chocolate for kids’ programs; cookies for an open house; Christmas decorations; hats, mittens and school supplies that were donated to Brookfield schools; and spices and crafts for take-home programs.
Checks can be made out to Friends of the Brookfield Library, and checks, ticket stubs and unsold tickets should be returned to Nancy Hermann by April 24.
For information or additional tickets, call Hermann at 330-448-2400.
If the library reopens before April 24, tickets will be sold there.
