Trumbull County commissioners have awarded a contract to Shelly and Sands Inc., North Jackson, to pave Brookfield Avenue in Masury and several other roads in the county.
The company’s bid, $1,356,656, was the lowest of four submitted.
Officials said the project is funded by an Ohio Public Works Commission grant, which Trumbull County Deputy Engineer Gary Shaffer said won’t become available until July 1. He said he won’t have an idea until around that time when work will begin and where Brookfield Avenue falls on the list of six roads to be paved.
