A former Masury man has been sent to state prison for his conviction on two felony counts.
David A. Moore, 32, of Niles, pleaded guilty March 5 to charges of domestic violence and aggravated possession of drugs, and was sentenced May 7 by Trumbull County Common Pleas Court Judge Cynthia Rice to 2 years in prison.
Brookfield police were called Sept. 12 to an apartment on Addison Road, Masury. A 30-year-old woman reported that Moore had choked her, poked her neck with a baseball bat, threatened to kill her while holding a knife, and threw the knife, police said.
Inside the apartment, police found a glass vial of methamphetamine, which Moore admitted he snorted, police said.
Moore has a previous domestic violence conviction, police said.
