Household items ready for loading at a Spokes of Hope giveaway In September in Masury.
The Ryan Blaney Family Foundation and Spokes of Hope will sponsor a free community giveaway of household items at 4 p.m. Aug. 16 at Sharon Speedway, 3241 Custer Orangeville Road, Hartford.
Spokes of Hope co-sponsored a similar giveaway of cleaning and hygiene products, toiletries and paper products in November in Masury.
Community members will drive through Sharon Speedway with their trunks open and volunteers, including race-car drivers Dave and Dale Blaney, will load in the supplies. About 800 families can be served.
“The Mahoning Valley has been very supportive of the Blaney family throughout the years,” said Dale Blaney. “We’re looking forward to an evening of giving back.”
Spokes of Hope is a national, faith-based disaster charity.
