There are no Brookfield Township races on the November general election ballot, but there are two local questions.

Brookfield Police Department is seeking renewal of a five-year, 2-mill levy. The levy would not cost any additional money to taxpayers as the levy collects the same amount of money it did when it was first approved in 2004. The levy is crucial to the department’s finances, accounting for about 25 percent of the budget, officials said. It raises about $250,000 a year. The levy was last approved in 2019 by 710-325 votes.

La Palma Family Restaurant and Bar is asking voters in Precinct K to allow on- and off-premises sales of beer and wine and Sunday sales.

There are several county-wide ballot questions that Brookfield voters will weigh in on:

  • Trumbull Career and Technical Center is seeking renewal of a 10-year, 2.4-mill levy for current expenses.
  • Trumbull County Children Services Board is seeking renewal of a 10-year, 0.8-mill levy for current expenses.
  • Trumbull County is seeking renewal of a 10-year, 1-mill levy for alcohol- and drug-addiction and mental health programs.
  • Trumbull County is seeking a replacement of a 5-year, 0.75-mill levy for senior services. Approval of this levy would add onto a property owner’s tax bill.
  • Trumbull County is seeking renewal of a 10-year, 2.25-mill levy for Trumbull County Board of Developmental Disabilities.

The ballot is full of races for federal, state and county offices. The following are contested races:

  • President: Democrat Kamala Harris versus Republican Donald Trump.
  • 14th District U.S. representative: incumbent Republican David Joyce faces a challenge from Democrat Brian Bob Kenderes.
  • 32nd District state Senate: incumbent Republican Sandra O’Brien faces a challenge from Democrat Michael Shrodek.
  • Trumbull County Court of Common Pleas General Division: Judge Andrew Logan is age restricted from running again. Christopher Becker and Sarah Thomas Kovoor are seeking to replace him.
  • Trumbull County Court of Common Pleas Domestic/Juvenile Division: The candidates are David Engler and Kara Leonard Stanford, also known as Kara A. Stanford.

  • Trumbull County commissioner: Incumbent Democrat Mauro Cantalamessa is seeking re-election. He is challenged by Republican Tony Bernard.

  • Trumbull County recorder: Incumbent Democrat Tod Latell is seeking re-election. He is challenged by Republican Dawn Zinni.
