Brookfield Township officials and members of the Brookfield Rotary Club invited community groups to decorate a Christmas tree for display in the township building. Judi jumped on the idea and visioned our entry, which includes ornaments made out of copies of our front pages, a newspaper and construction paper chain, green lights and a masthead tree topper. Brookfield Fire Department, Brookfield Public Library and Cub Scout Park 342 also decorated trees, and it is rumored other groups also will be setting up trees soon. The trees will be up through Jan. 7. The township building at 6844 Strimbu Drive is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and Wednesday-Friday.
