Mrs. Claus reads to kids at the 2023 Jingle and Mingle.
Brookfield’s community Christmas event – Jingle and Mingle – returns for its second year from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Dec. 14 in the gazebo on the green in Brookfield Center.
Mrs. Claus will be back to lead attendees in a sing-a-long and read a Christmas story. She also will collect letters to take back to Santa.
There will be cocoa, coffee and sweet treats, including s’mores made by members of the Brookfield Fire Department. A photo booth will be set up for Christmas-themed photos.
Community groups and businesses that are participating include Brookfield Township, Brookfield Local School District, Brookfield Rotary Club, Grief and Loss in Motion, Masury Brookfield Women’s Club, the Brookfield Branch Library of the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, Belly Buster Sub Shop, Western and Southern Life, Laddie’s, the Milk Barn, the Boy Scouts and Swartz Barber Shop.
Parking is available at Brookfield United Methodist Church and Briceland funeral home.
Donations are still being accepted and more community groups are invited to participate.
Store-bought cookies can be dropped off at the township administration building, 6844 Strimbu Drive, during business hours.
