Delivery of Hartford’s new fire truck is still about a year away, but Hartford trustees are starting to prepare for that day, said Brookfield Fire Chief David Masirovits.
Trustees recently bought a battery-operated cutting and spreading tool that will be placed on the pumper tanker now under construction by Rosenbauer America, he said.
“They’re buying equipment for the new fire truck, but as it comes in it will be placed on the current fire truck,” Masirovits said.
Brookfield provides fire and emergency medical service to Hartford under a contract, and is able to use fire equipment owned by Hartford.
