Brookfield police and fire departments and Ohio Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle crash that occurred at about 11:30 a.m. March 12 at route 82 and 7 in Brookfield. One of the vehicles ended up in a ditch.
One person was transported to a hospital and a second refused treatment at the scene, Brookfield Fire-EMS said. The injuries in each case were considered minor.
Ohio Highway Patrol was investigating the crash.
Traffic on Route 7 southbound was slowed.

Ohio Highway Patrol has issued a report on the crash. The driver of the white vehicle, Margaret L. Walker, 76, of Sharon, was taken to a hospital by Brookfield Fire-EMS. The driver of the black vehicle, Francisco C. Yao, 95, of Sharpsville, told police he would see medical attention on his own.
Yao was eastbound on Route 82 and started to turn north onto Route 7 when his vehicle struck Walker’s, which was westbound on Route 82, police said. Yao has been charged with a turning violation, police said.
