True North Energy LLC, which operates Shell gas stations and convenience stores in Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin and Illinois, has bought the Quick Mart gas station and convenience store on Route 62/Irvine Avenue at Standard Avenue in Masury.
According to the Trumbull County auditor’s website, the sale price was $3,150,000.
Salam J. Elwanni opened Quick Mart in December 2023 after buying four neighboring lots and knocking down the former Southside Market and Tony’s Auto Parts buildings. She invested $1.7 million in the construction, according to her application for a liquor license.
Elwanni owns the property on which the Circle K convenience store and Cash Land are located east of Quick Mart and is the former owner of Brookfield Drive In, further east up the street.
True North also has locations in Hubbard, Howland and Youngstown, according to its website.
True North Energy was created in 1999 by the Lyden family and Shell Oil US.
Trumbull County commissioners on April 9 said they would not request a hearing on the proposed transfer of the liquor license from Elwanni’s company, K & G Brookfield LLC, to True North.
