Four companies have been hired to build connections from a newly built sanitary sewer line to income-eligible homes in Yankee Lake and along Yankee Run Road in Masury.
MJD Excavating Inc. of Warren was awarded a contract to connect seven homes for $89,650. X-Press Underground Inc., of Petersburg, Ohio, will connect 10 homes based on a bid of $43,036. 2M Services LLC of Niles will tap in three homes for $28,025. TK Excavating and Grading Inc., Girard, is responsible for six homes based on a bid of $67,100.
Trumbull County commissioners, which hired the firms in February and March, set aside American Rescue Act Plan funds to help homeowners with the connection fees on county-wide sewer projects.
