Just under 700 Ohio Edison customers are without power following this evening’s storms in Masury and Brookfield.
Tree crews were working on two sites on Sharon Hogue Road, just south of Superior Street and between Superior and the first 90-degree bend, said Brookfield Road Supt. Jaime Fredenburg, who left the Brookfield trustee’s meeting early to help with the cleanup. The trees fell on power lines, cutting power.
Ohio Edison reported these outages:
- 100 to 500 customers are out on Sharon Hogue Road north of Lincoln Street to the second 90-degree bend.
- Up to 40 customers are out on the east end of Lincoln Street.
- Between 20 and 100 customers are out on Amy Boyle Road, east of Warner Road.
- Up to 20 customers are out at King Graves Road and Route 7.
Brookfield police and fire departments responded to a car that went off the road into woods on Yankee Run Road at Lincoln Street. Police said no one was injured.
Nearly 1 inch of rain fell, according to the National Weather Service.
