For the second year, Belly Buster Sub Shop is holding a free Christmas Eve dinner for the community.

“It’s for anybody,” said Matthew Chu, who owns the eatery with his wife, Josy.

“Last year, we had an excellent turnout for that,” Josy said. “We had about 75 or 80. It was really nice.”

Dinner will be served starting at 5 p.m., and the menu will include prime rib, turkey, pasta, potatoes, veggie, water, pop, and desserts. Attendees are invited to bring their own beer or wine to enjoy with dinner.

A lot of families came last year but also some single people.

“A lot of people were socializing,” Josy said. “There were people who came by themselves and they were socializing.”

The Chus said they enjoyed meeting those who came and sitting down with them to chat, when time allowed.

Brookfield Rotary Club is coordinating deliveries for people who can’t make it to the restaurant at 6949 Warren Sharon Road, Brookfield. Call Amy Zell at 330-506-1232 if you would like food to be delivered to you, or you would like to volunteer to drive.

It is not required that you register but calling 330-448-2145 at least a few days ahead of time would help give organizers a hint about attendance. You also can click “going” in the Facebook event posted by the Chus.
