Major Brookfield Township appropriations for 2026, with 2025 numbers in parentheses:

  • General fund, $812,623 ($1,112,070), which includes carryover funds of $411,812 from 2025. The drop in this fund is largely due to the spending of federal American Rescue Plan Act funds in 2025.
  • Motor vehicle license fund, which goes to the road department, $185,098 ($203,794), which includes a carryover of $102,755.

  • Road and bridge fund, which goes to the road department, $1,731,495 ($1,258,781), which includes a carryover of $851,250. The increase from 2025 to this year is largely due to road projects that were budgeted for last year but not completed.

  • Police district fund, $1,262,500 ($1,205,000), which includes a carryover of $343,564.
