A Masury man has been sentenced to probation on a drug charge that stemmed from a traffic stop in May.
Patrick Martin, 60, of 8192 Davis St., pleaded guilty Nov. 4 to a charge of aggravated possession of methamphetamine. Trumbull County Common Pleas Court Judge W. Wyatt McKay sentenced Martin Jan.13 to 5 years’ probation.
Martin was a passenger in a vehicle pulled over May 8 on Brookfield Avenue after it was seen leaving “a residence known for narcotics use and sales,” and did not signal a turn, Brookfield police said. Police said they found marijuana and meth on Martin’s person during a patdown search. The amount of meth was 3.25 grams, and an incoming message on Martin’s phone read “U got 2 grams,” police said.
