The ladies’ auxiliary of the Brookfield Fire Department will be celebrating its 75th anniversary this year (2024). This devoted and hardworking group of women (and now men) has been a constant source of assistance and community-minded service to both the fire department and the township at large, for the past three-quarters of a century.

Besides providing aid to the fire department, this dedicated group also provides food and volunteers for the American Red Cross blood drives, funeral luncheons/dinners, annual luncheon held after the Memorial Day ceremony, refreshments for the annual Safety Night, just to name a few. Over the years, the membership numbers have been dwindling and we are at a critical point of needing to ask, very humbly, of our community, to please consider joining our organization in order to enable us to continue to do the same level of services that the township has been accustomed. If you are not willing to join as a full-fledged member, please consider joining us on a volunteer-basis (called as needed – come when you can). We sincerely appreciate your consideration of this request – more helpers make the workload lighter for all – and you’ll have an opportunity to make new friends and do a good thing for your community.

Respectfully,

Raella Baker, president, ladies’ auxiliary of the Brookfield Fire Department
