Yankee Lake Truck Night opened last weekend for the first of four weekend-only events this summer, and Brookfield police reported they made two arrests, took a theft report and found two plastic bags of marijuana during the weekend.

A Niles woman reported Sunday, April 29, that a cooler containing about 75 alcoholic drinks was stolen, police said. While there was insufficient evidence to charge anyone with the theft – the cooler was found later with most of its contents gone – police said they encountered Nathan C. Kline, 18, of 735 Jones St., Hubbard, during the investigation, and Kline identified himself by another name. After police learned his real name, Kline was cited with falsification, police said.

Jeffery J. Pudvah, 26, of Warren, was charged with being an intoxicated person on a roadway Saturday, April 28, after police had previously told him to stay away from the parking lot and roadway because he was stumbling, police said.

The marijuana, a small amount in each bag, and a glass pipe were found Friday, April 27, in a felt eyeglass case on the ground where a large group of teens was reported to be congregating, police said. The group had dispersed before police could talk to anyone, police said.
