Two Brookfield policemen were checked out at a hospital after they were spat on by a naked woman who admitted she was high on LSD, police said.
Autumn Everson, 20, of 556 E. Budd St., Sharon, spat in the eyes and face of John Bizub, who also is a Brookfield firefighter and emergency medical technician, and on the arm and neck of Jay First, police said. First also suffered a cut in an area where the saliva landed, police said.
Police said they were called at about 8 a.m. Sept. 9 to the 1200 block of Sharon Bedford Road, where a resident reported a woman in her underwear was knocking on a door, said “I’m going to jail anyway,” and knocked over flowers and flower pots.
Police said Everson was naked when they found her, a few blocks away from the caller. First tried to put his raincoat around Everson, but she walked away saying she didn’t want help, police said.
After firefighters arrived, First covered up Everson and first-responders placed her on a cot, and that’s when she spit on them, police said.
Everson was taken to a hospital and later released to Trumbull County Jail, where she remains, police said.
Police charged Everson with two counts of assault and one count each of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, criminal trespass and criminal damaging. She is to be arraigned Sept. 13 in Trumbull County Eastern District Court.
