Mark Riccadonna

Stand-up comedian Mark Riccadonna, a Brookfield High School graduate, will headline a comedy show and fundraiser for the Brookfield Band Boosters at 8 p.m. Aug. 12 in Yankee Lake Ballroom.

Don Jamieson also will perform.

Riccadonna moved to New York City after graduating in 1999 to study acting, but found he could get paid as a standup. In addition to touring the country, he has contributed jokes to “Weekend Update” on “Saturday Night Live,” performed at military bases, stars in the podcast “Jokes, Drinks and Storytelling” and has recorded comedy albums.

Jamieson is probably best known as the host of “That Metal Show” on VH1 Classic, but has been a stand-up comedian for years. He has contributed to HBO’s “Inside the NFL,” the Comedy Central series “Meet the Creeps” and MTV2’s “Crank Yankers.”

There will be food available, raffles and a cash bar.

Tickets are on sale for $20 each at the Yankee Lake Party Center, 1800 Route 7 NE; and Kellie’s Place, 6969 Warren Sharon Road; or from Kelly Jacobson, 330-646-7040; or Amy Smith, 330-502-0220. Tickets will be sold for $25 at the door.
