Stephanie Oyster

Stephanie Oyster graduated from Pymatuning Valley High School and taught there and in Mineral Ridge.

“I’ve always been exposed to a small-school setting,” she said. “When Brookfield came open, I thought that would be something that I’m used to.”

Oyster is the new assistant principal for Brookfield Middle School. She was hired June 26, along with new high school Assistant Principal Nicholas Wagner. Neither has held an administrative position before.

Oyster, who will be paid $71,334 in 2023-24 and $73,211 in 2024-25, said her duties will include discipline and attendance and her priorities will include student learning and communication.

“I have a lot of experience with curriculum, curriculum planning,” Oyster said. “I’m really looking forward to the teachers and making sure that we have a really strong, coherent curriculum at Brookfield.”

Wagner has spent six years as an intervention specialist at Kennedy High School in Warren. He will be paid $70,082 the first year and $71,960 the second.

Oyster and Wagner started work Aug. 1.
