Trumbull County commissioners awarded a contract Sept. 27 to pave Addison Road between routes 62 and 82 in Masury.

However, it’s unlikely it will be paved this year, said county Deputy Engineer Gary Shaffer, which would push the construction to the spring.

Trumbull County owns this section of Addison.

The Shelly Co. of Twinsburg was awarded a contract to pave Addison and roads in Howland and Liberty for $1,146,403. The other five bids ranged from $1.191 million to $1.363 million, and the engineer’s estimate was $1.3 million.

The first priority is to pave Howland Wilson Road in Howland, and it’s going to be difficult to complete that section this year because of the weather, Shaffer said.

Sixty percent of the project is funded by an Ohio Public Works Commission
